SSB RT "AMONATBONK ANNUAL RESULTS PRESS CONFERENCE
On February 7, 2022, SSB RT "Amonatbonk" has held press conference to report about the annual results in accordance with the established plan of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. The press-conference was attended by a wide range of journalists of national and foreign media.
Mr. Sirojiddin Ikromi, the Chair of the Board, welcomed all the journalists and expressed his appreciation to media for the mutually beneficial cooperation and covering the progress of the country’s banking sector in general and activity of “Amonatbonk” in particular.
It was noted that during the past year SSB RT “Amonatbonk” has provided its services to almost 23 000 enterprises and institutions, more than 771 000 pensioners, social protection and law enforcement agencies, more than 1.7 million depositors through 75 branches and 547 centers of banking service, with more than 3000 employees in all regions of the country.
The capital of the Bank has reached 575.5 million somoni, (25.7% increase compared to 2020).
The Bank's net profit is 66.2 million somoni (29.1% increase compared to 2020).
Last year the Bank has paid TJS 110 million as taxes and other mandatory payments to the state budget, which is TJS 13.7 million or 14.2% more than in 2020. It was noted that the SSB RT "Amonatbonk" was recognized as the best taxpayer in 2021 by the decision of the Commission under the Tax Committee for the timely and diligent tax compliance and significant input to the development of the economy and revenue collection of the country.
In order to promote the development of consumer market, implementation of state social support programs for the citizens and mark the celebration of the 30th anniversary of state independence, the Bank provided low interest rates lending facilities.
In 2021 the Bank provided 1.4 billion somoni to more than 72 000 clients using its own and internationally attracted funding, which increased the number of borrowers by 44% and the volume of lending by 34% compared to 2020.
The bank's loans to industrial sector totaled 21.6%, agriculture 11.4%, consumer sector 31.9%, construction 10.3%, trade 17.5%, transport 3.7%, and other services (tourism, health, and public catering) 3.6%.
In the reported period, using the foreign direct investments attracted, including 43 million US dollars from the banks of Uzbekistan and 5 million US dollars provided by the JSC Export insurance company "KAZAKHEXPORT", the Bank has issued $16.1 million in loans to 27 domestic companies for the import of goods and products.
The balance of deposits of legal entities and individuals is more than 3.2 billion somoni with the share of individual's deposits totaling of over 1.6 billion somoni, which increased by 5.3% compared to 2020.
To create favorable conditions for attracting remittances to the country, the Bank established a term deposit produced "Compatriot Abroad" which amounts to 81.1 million somon
